“Le Samouraï. I love that movie.”

“Traffic. Amazing film.”

“Film. I love Orson Welles. I mean, he's like, he could do it all, right? Like, you can act, you can direct, and he was like so young when he started out, and he did it throughout his life. So it looks like this was a little bit later in his career, in 1975, yeah. He's someone who I think reinvented himself quite often, but he was a renaissance man. So F for Fake, yeah, that sounds good. That's going in the bag.”

“Blow-Up, Antonioni, yeah. This movie I watched, I was doing a short film years ago and I was playing a photographer and the filmmaker had me watch Blow-Up, and it's such a good one. It's a classic.”

“Night of the Living Dead is arguably the reason I'm a, I'm an actor, period. When I was a kid, I was obsessed with horror films, particularly zombie films, and Night of the Living Dead, both the original and the remake with Tony Todd, were a huge influence on me. Before I was playing music, before I was acting or being on stage, I loved horror films. And also it wasn't lost on me that it was a guy named George Romero. As a kid you didn't even see a lot of Spanish-sounding names, so it was exciting. I don't even know what George Romero's background is, but I was excited to hear his name, I remember that. And I love zombies, so this is going in the bag.”

“My Own Private Idaho. Talk about movies that made me want to be an actor, this is, this is one of them. I mean, you know, River Phoenix, Keanu Reeves, Gus Van Sant, even Flea's in this movie. They made it look so cool. I mean, it was just an interesting movie. I, I, you know, I grew up in a small town, and this is like pre-internet days, and we had access to so little, you know, in a lot of ways. But I remember seeing My Own Private Idaho and it wasn't the typical kind of film that we got down there. I think I got it, I think it was a rental that me and my friends rented. They just made it look so cool. I love this movie, such an, such an influence on me.”
