“Well, something like Vampyr and Carl Dreyer's work, it has to be for the both of us the most, the most deeply influential, both in terms of the cinematography and for the quality of his narrative, the particular Vampyr, but I think that in particularly because our love of black and white cinema, this seems, his work all the way through to Ordet and Gertrud, Day of Wrath, are just, one could never imagine him making a color film. So yeah. And I think for us that the two most beautiful colors are black and white and still will be.”
